Accused in Lombard St trafficking case denied bail

A man who told a court that he was going to exchange the marijuana found on him for a cellphone was remanded to prison on Wednesday.

Carlos Christopher of Soesdyke, appeared in the courtroom of Principal Magistrate Faith McGusty and pleaded not guilty to a trafficking of narcotics charge.

The charge stated that on October 21 at Lombard Street, Georgetown, he had in his possession 198 grammes of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
