The Guyana Football Federation [GFF] will stage an Extraordinary Congress on Saturday November 9th from 10:00hrs at the Pegasus Hotel, Kingston.
This was disclosed in an official release from the federation. Among the major subjects of the congress is the election of the GFF Executive Committee.
According to the correspondence, the election of the GFF executive committee will be conducted in accordance with Article 10 of the GFF Electoral Code. This stipulates, “The slates of candidates shall be sent by recorded post or delivered in exchange for confirmation of receipt to the general secretariat of the GFF at least 3 weeks before the General Meeting is held. These slates shall be forwarded immediately to the electoral committee.”
The correspondence disclosed that the membership of the GFF according to Article 30 [1], shall be informed of the place and the agenda of the congress three weeks before the date of the actual event.
The release added that the composition of the congress shall feature eligible members and delegates from the respective member associations.
