A 45th minute strike in extra time from eventual Most Valuable Player (MVP) recipient Darius Chester, propelled St Agnes to a 1-0 victory over newcomer Genesis in the final of the Courts Pee Wee U-11 Football Championship.
Chester sealed the team’s maiden title in their second finals’ appearance [the first was in 2016] at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue, with a powerful shot into the lower right corner from the left side of the field.
With the win, St Agnes walked away with a 55-inch flat screen television, the championship trophy and medals. Genesis received a 43-inch flat screen television and the second place trophy and medals.
