Dear Editor,
When recently in Guyana, I was surprised to see the blank looks on the faces of senior PPP and AFC politicians when I dared to say that ‘The next election in Guyana will be won on social media’ (as in the UK,USA.)
The era of the bottom houses, mass rallies and plastering lantern posts with posters is coming to an end. Micro not mass targeting. Guyana is Facebook country. Look to the modern digital Machiavelli Dominic Cummings (Boris Johnson’s brain…) and his modus operandi. Sadly it seems to work.
