Mahindranauth Tiwari outplayed a field of 60 golfers on Saturday to emerge Net champion with a score of 65 while Patrick Prashad reigned supreme in the top flight in the 14th edition of the MACORP golf tournament at the Lusignan Golf Course (LGC).

Keen competition in the ‘A’ Flight was evidenced with three veterans equaling for the top spot with former Guyana Open champion and Canadian Club “Golfer of the year 2018”, Suknanan Jaipaul, coming an impressive fourth with one stroke behind.

The tie was resolved on their back nine performances and resulted in Prashad, former Captain and easily LGC’s most consistent golfer of the year, edging out his rivals. Prashad return scores of 67/9 and forced Kassim Khan (67/8) and Mike Mangal (67/8) to finish second and third respectively. The champion credited his good putting with making the difference.
