A Mon Repos fisherman has been missing since last Thursday when he fell overboard into the Demerara River.
Family members of David Mohan, 53, related that the man was last seen on October 31st after he fell out of his boat, which was last seen in the vicinity of the mouth of the river.
According to information received, Mohan, was on his boat with two others when he fell out around 11am as some areas were still experiencing high tides. The crew members did not see him surface.
When Stabroek News contacted the family yesterday, one of Mohan’s daughters, Sherry-Ann Mohan, told Stabroek News that they have not found him as yet but are still searching and would have even contacted the police for assistance in finding their father.
The woman related that though the family is devastated they remain hopeful about finding him.
