Lopsided wins by Timehri Panthers and Mocha Champs highlighted the East Bank Football Association (EBFA) Senior League on Sunday at the National Training Centre, Providence.
Timehri Panthers mauled Herstelling 6-0. Tyrone Adams, the scorer of an eventual hat-trick, started the rout with a 26th minute conversion.
Adams’ second goal soon followed as he netted in the 36th minute to make it 2-0. Shannon Samnauth got into the scoring act with a 66th minute strike before Oliver Denny found the back of the net in the 75th minute.
The result was then sealed in the 85th minute as Adams completed his hat-trick. Meanwhile Mocha Champs crushed Friendship 5-1.
Five different scorers etched their name on the scorer’s sheet for the eventual winner, with Olric Griffith breaking the deadlock in the fifth minute.
The lead was increased six minutes later through a Stephon Daniels strike. Gavin Hunter’s 57th minute attempt ballooned to score to 3-0.
This was followed by a Shawn Gilbert goal in the 62nd minute which effectively sealed the contest. On the other side, Zaheer Rahat reduced the deficit in the 63rd minute.
Nonetheless Tyrone James completed the scoreline as he banged his effort past the custodian in the 70th minute each. Also, Kuru Kururu defeated Diamond United via walkover.
