Jerome Liddell, a policeman who had been charged earlier in the year with the unlawful possession of a pistol, was freed on Monday after a city magistrate dismissed the charge.
At the conclusion of Liddell’s trial, Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan found that the prosecution failed to prove its case.
Liddell, of Bent Street, had denied the charge, which stated that on May 26th, 2019, at Thomas Lands, Georgetown, he had in his possession a 9 mm pistol when he was not the holder of a firearm licence.
The magistrate told Liddell on Monday that the prosecution fail to prove its case, hence he was free to go.
