Christopher Barnwell and Raymond Reifer piloted Guyana to a 13-run victory over the United States in the Colonial Medical Insurance Super 50 series in Port of Spain, Trinidad yesterday.
Guyana batted first and scored a modest 226 all out off of its 50 overs. Barnwell struck 80 and was ably supported by Leon Johnson with 43, Tagenarine Chanderpaul with 43 and Jonathan Foo with 39.
Karima Gore took three for 38 off 10 overs and Saurabh Netravalkar 2 for 20 off of 10.
When the US batted, Raymond Reifer grabbed 5 for 35 off of nine over. Mrunal Patel top scored with 43.
Guyana defeated the Emerging Players off the last ball of their match last week but lost to Trinidad over the weekend.
