A construction worker, who asked a city magistrate for community service after admitting to stealing toilet bowl and receiver sets, has been ordered to serving nine months in jail for the crime.
Leonard Shaw, 30, of Lot 109 Princes Street, stood before Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts yesterday and admitted to the charge that between November 12th and November 13th, at Lot 79 Charlotte and Alexander streets, he broke and entered the home of a woman and stole a toilet bowl set, as well as a receiver sink set, valued $42,000.
