Neville Thomas

Neville Thomas, the taxi driver who was charged with the rape of a 12-year-old girl, was yesterday committed to stand trial by a city magistrate at the conclusion of the Preliminary Inquiry into the charge.

It is alleged that Thomas, 36, committed the act between April and May.

Thomas was committed to stand trial by way of paper committal proceedings that were conducted by Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.

According to police, Thomas picked-up the girl from school and took her to a hotel, where he allegedly committed the crime.
