Riddim Squad and Fruta Conquerors earned contrasting wins when the Turbo Knockout Football Championship continued on Friday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
The Mocha-based Riddim Squad unit defeated Eagles 3-1. Wendell Joseph recorded a double in the 22nd and 23rd minute while Kevin Agard scored in the 56th minute. For the losers, Adrian Adelph netted in the first minute.
On the other hand, Fruta Conquerors Under 20 edged the Guyana Police Force (GPF)-B 4-2 on penalty kicks after regulation and extra time ended 1-1.
Prior to the penalty shootout, Wayne Baker handed the Tucville unit the lead in the 10th minute, only for the lawmen to equalise in the form of Amoniki Buntin in the 54th minute.
The event continues today at the same venue with another round of matches. At 19:00hrs, Camptown oppose Buxton Stars while Pele battle Pouderoyen from 21:00hrs.
