The police say they are pursuing all possible angles in the investigation involving the Sophia couple who was taken into custody on Sunday following the discovery of several items including an AK-47 assault rifle.
This is according to Crime Chief (ag) Michael Kingston who yesterday described the probe as “deep”. Kingston, when contacted for an update on the investigation, told Stabroek News that the police are “going the length” to ensure that all aspects of the investigation are looked at.
He added that ballistics tests are also being conducted on the AK-47 assault rifle to determine whether it was used to commit any crime.
