Fourth person who perished in Nismes crash identified as Patentia woman

The fourth person who died in the Nismes, West Bank Demerara collision between a minibus and a car on Saturday night has been identified as Zavira Jona called ‘Theresa’, 22, of Patentia.

The crash also claimed the lives of Ayesha Sealey, 27; the driver of the car, Paul Glen, 52; and Maria Bisnauth, 12.

According to a police press release, initial investigations revealed that the accident occurred just around 7:20 pm on Saturday and involved a minibus, BYY 2981 and motorcar, PTT 691. The minibus was proceeding north along the western carriageway of the road at a fast rate of speed while in the vicinity of a gas station. The car, meanwhile, was exiting the gas station in a south eastern direction in the path of the bus, the release said.
