A contingent of 13 boxers is scheduled to wing out tomorrow to compete at the fifth annual Caribbean Boxing Championships in Trinidad.
Team Guyana are the defending champions of the event which will be staged from Wednesday to December 9 at the Southern Regional Indoor Sports Arena, Pleasantville, San Fernando.
Last year, host, Guyana finished atop the medal table with 10 gold medals following the conclusion of the four-night championships which was previously held in Barbados and St Lucia.
The pugilists, along with the two coaches will be looking to mirror the feat accomplished last year for the fixture.
Some 20 territories including Spanish speaking countries are set to participate in the championships.
Those countries are Cuba, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
