The Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the attempted murder charge against Renard Caesar and LaShawn Lewis, who are accused of attempting to kill ex-policeman Teon Allen called ‘Spoil child,’ is expected to commence in January.
Caesar and Lewis were not required to plead to the indictable charge which stated that on October 5th, at La Penitence Market, Georgetown, in the company of others and with intent to commit murder, they discharged rounds from loaded firearms toward Allen.
During yesterday’s court proceeding in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court One, the duo was granted bail in the sum of $500,000 each on the condition that they report to the Major Crimes Unit at the Criminal Investigation Department headquarters every week. Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan also imposed a curfew on the duo stating that they are not to be seen outdoors from 7pm to 7am.
