The trial for the Pike Street, Kitty man who was charged with murdering a vagrant in 2017 outside a Lamaha Street nightclub commenced on Tuesday at the High Court in Georgetown.
Shawn Harris is charged with murdering Sunil Singh, also known as ‘Grey,’ on February 5th, 2017, at Owen Street, Kitty.
On Tuesday, the trial commenced before Justice Jo-Ann Barlow and a 12-member jury. State representatives Sarah Martin and Shawnette Austin first called a police photographer to the witness box to present his evidence. Detective Constable Collis Duke was called to the stand to present and identify photographs he would have taken of the crime scene. The witness was also asked to describe each photo to the court.
