Empire Media Inc (EMI) last Sunday launched its Armageddon Clash 2020 at Mango Lane, East Ruimveldt and it was revealed that six sound systems will face office for the grand prize of $1 million on January 25, 2020 at the National Park tarmac.
According to a release from Keston Tyrell, Coordinator for Armageddon Clash 2020, Empire Media Inc was excited to host the “biggest clash in the world”. He noted that the large attendance at its clashes in the past was testimony to the transformation that had taken place in the industry. Further, according to the release, Tyrell added that Armageddon 2020 was dubbed the ‘War of all Wars’ because of the calibre of sounds that will be participating.
Those competing are: Notorious International Sound – Armageddon 2018 and 2019 Champion; Dynamq Sound (from South Sudan, Africa) – 2018 US Rumble and 2019 War in the East Champion; Trinity Sound – Destination Badda Dan Guyana Champion; Kanabis Sound (from Antigua) – Pain and Sorrow 2019 Champion; Exodus Nuclear – Turbo Sounds of Steel Champion; and Firehouse Int – Art of War 2019 Champion.
On board to sponsor the event again is the Guyana Beverages Inc, whose Turbo brand will be the official energy drink of Armageddon Clash 2020.
The company’s Brand Manager Raymond Govinda stated that the company recognised the importance of supporting Guyana’s culture and providing a platform for local talents to grow and develop. He noted that Armageddon provides the perfect platform for this to happen and to further the growth of the brand among the audience.
Other businesses that have committed to sponsoring the event thus far include 6Vibes, Coles Screen Printing and Maad 97.5 FM.
