President of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Wayne Forde is set to travel to Zurich, Switzerland to be a part of a several high profile FIFA meetings with Director of Member Association Veron Mosenga-Omba and the General Secretary Fatima Samoura.
This was disclosed via an official release from the federation. According to the correspondence, “The meetings, which will take place between December 9th – 11th, will focus on the following areas: FIFA Green Building Initiative – Forward in sustainability.
The FIFA Forward programme will now include in its regulations, sustainable energy engineering concepts and building codes for all infrastructure projects being funded through the FIFA Forward programme.
The release said the GFF President Forde, will participate in a series of think-tank sessions aimed at developing the new regulations.
“President Forde will also be discussing the GFF’s strategic priorities for Competitions, Capacity Building and Infrastructure Development. GFF Constitutional matters and Regulation of Sport Locally. The Governance, Control and Regulation of the Game locally will also be discussed during the President’s visit,” the release ended.
