Annandale mauled St. John’s College 12-0 yesterday in the GuyOil/Tradewind Tankers Secondary School Football League at the National Training Center, Providence.
Omari Glasgow smashed six goals in the lopsided contest, finding the back of the net in the 12th, 15th, 36th, 43rd, 45th and 47th minute. Colin Henriques also got into the scoring act, smashing a helmet-trick in the ninth, 30th, 42nd, and 48th minute.
Adding goals in the 11th and 19th minute respectively were Ajaye Sobers and Seon Heywood. Meanwhile, Bishops’ High and Charlestown battled to a 3-3 stalemate. Acquino Luke, Malachi Richards and Makaya Smith scored in the 17th, 43rd and 50th minute respectively for Bishops’ High while Tariq Pryce bagged a brace in the 15th and 19th minute for Charlestown and Kurt Carrington added one goal in the 65th minute. The tournament continues today at the same venue with another round of matches.
