Brazilian gets three-month sentence and fine for trafficking ganja

A Brazilian youth, who had been arrested for murder, will be spending the next three months in jail after pleaded guilty to trafficking marijuana that was found in his possession.

Nathan De Almeiba, 19, of Mococa, a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil, was yesterday sentenced and fined after he admitted to a magistrate that he had 66.2 grammes of marijuana in his possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan read the charge, which stated that on November 30th, at South Pakaraimas, Rupununi, De Almeiba had 66.2 grammes of cannabis, valued $99,000, for the purpose of trafficking in his possession.
