Boxing team wins 10 medals at C/bean c/ships

Team Guyana’s 13-member outfit finished with three gold medals when the fifth annual Caribbean Boxing Championships concluded on Sunday in Trinidad.

According to President of the Guyana Boxing Association, Steve Ninvalle, there were also three silver medal and four bronze medal performances by the local pugilists during the four-night fixture.

Reports from Ninvalle stated that the Jackman sisters, Abiola and Alesha along with Keevin Allicock climbed the top podium steps while Julius Chesney, Dennis Thomas and Mark Crawford won silver medals.

The outfit along with the coaches, Terrence Poole and Sebert Blake were scheduled to return last night at 10:000pm.
