A Corentyne man is now nursing a chop wound to his head after three men attempted to rob him and two others on Sunday evening at Hampshire Village, Corentyne.
Ryan Esuridas, 33, of Hampshire Village, was at a rum shop in the village with two friends, when three men, all armed, invaded the premises. They ordered Esuridas and his friends to hand over all of their belongings.
However, Esuridas and his friends reportedly put up a fight, which resulted in him being chopped to his head.
Despite inflicting the injury, the bandits were forced to make an escape without stealing anything from the persons present.
Esuridas has since been released from the hospital, where he received several stitches to the wound.
The police have since launched an investigation.
