Magistrate Alex Moore this morning recused himself from the case in which Marcus Bisram is accused of murdering Faiyaz Narinedatt.
Magistrate Moore told the Springlands Magistrate’s Court that he is complying with a request from Chancellor, Justice Yonette Cummings.
The matter was then put down to January 13 before the Chief Magistrate for reassignment.
The family of Narinedatt petitioned Justice Cummings for Magistrate Moore’s refusal after his conduct at a recent hearing.
His attitude to the prosecutor Stacy Goodings was cited by the family.
