A Stanleytown motorcyclist died on Sunday evening and another biker is now in a critical condition after they collided on the Main Road in New Amsterdam.
Dead is Dean Grenville, 28, of Lot 60 Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, who was riding motor cycle, CH 6868 when he collided with Roderick Ageday, 36, of Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, who was riding motorcycle, CJ 6265.
Both men were rushed to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital after which Grenville was transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital, after not regaining consciousness, where he later succumbed.
Ageday was admitted to the New Amsterdam Hospital with a fractured skull, fractures about the body and bleeding in the lungs.
The police have launched an investigation.
