Scott, Noel secure gold at Marlins Open Water Invitational

Dorado Speed champion quartet after their outstanding showing in Marlins Open Water Invitational.

Four members of the Dorado Speed Swim Club who chalked up impressive showings in the just-concludedAmateur Swimming Association of Trinidad and Tobago (ASATT) Invitational Swimming Championships, took their form over to the Marlins Open Water Invitational and tasted more success.

Daniel Scott led the way for the Guyanese club at Las Cuevas Bay by stretching his counterparts in the boys 15 years and over 5km event to take gold. He won in a time of 1:11:12.53.

Raekwon Noel’s time of 45:30.56 in the boy’s 13-14 years old 3km event was also enough to land him gold while Stephon Ramkhelawan also of Dorado Speed collected silver to shape one-two spots for the South Americans.

The other credible finish for the club was delivered by Stephen Ramkhelawan’s silver medal effort in the boys 11-12 years old 3km race.
