Sparta Boss, Gold is Money favoured in quarterfinal matchups

Sparta Boss will lock horns with Future Stars while Leopold Street will oppose Gold is Money in the marquee quarterfinal matchups tonight [Thursday] in the inaugural Dragon Stout Street-ball ‘Community Cup’ at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

 Future Stars earned their place in the final eight section, defeating Albouystown 3-2. Jamal Cozier, Selwyn Williams and Dellon Kelly found the back of the net in the eighth, 13th and 16th minute each. For Albouystown, Moses Grittens and Andre Webber scored in the 14th and 18th respectively.

 They will now meet Sparta Boss, who earned a bye to the second round. On the other hand, Leopold Street battled past Ansa McAl 2-1. Darren Benjamin and Omallo Williams netted in the 15th and 17th minute correspondingly. For Ansa McAl, Mavlvis Alcala scored in the 14th minute.
