Ghanaian nurses for Barbados next year

(Barbados Nation) In a matter of weeks, the first batch of more than 100 Ghanaian nurses will arrive in Barbados to help ease the island’s shortage.

Yesterday, after the launch of the 2019 Lancet Countdown On Health And Climate Change Report, at the Radisson Aquatica in Aquatic Gap, St Michael, Minister of Health Jeffrey Bostic said the nurses would arrive early in the new year. He revealed that more than 700 had applied but his ministry was looking to bring in 120 at this time.

“We are aiming to have the nurses on island by the end of January, early February,” he said.
