A new champion will be crowned in the second annual KFC Goodwill Series as Lodge Secondary dethroned Shiva Boys of Trinidad and Tobago to set up a championship match with Annai Secondary today at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Lodge Secondary, the recently crowned GuyOil League winner, defeated the Twin Island Republic institution 3-0 on penalty kicks, after regulation and extra time ended scoreless in their semi-final affair on Friday.
Their opponents, Annai, of Region #9, defeated Desrey Fox Secondary, formerly Waramadong by a 2-1 scoreline in the other semi-final engagement. On target in the win were Vito Cambridge and Raul Sway in the first and 65th minute respectively. For the losers, Ovid Andrews found the back of the net in the ninth minute.
The respective semi-final winners will face-off at 19:00hrs, with the losers battling in the earlier third-place playoff from 17:00hrs.
