LUCAS STOCK INDEX
The Lucas Stock Index (LSI) rose 1.38 percent during the third period of trading in December 2019. The stocks of five companies were traded with 197,089 shares changing hands. There were two Climbers and no Tumblers. The stocks of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) rose 0.63 percent on the sale of 9,808 shares while the stocks of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) rose 4.17 percent on the sale of 5,651 shares. In the meanwhile, the stocks of Banks DIH (DIH), Sterling Products Limited (SPL) and Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC) remained unchanged on the sale of 175,330; 4,550; and 1,750 shares respectively. The LSI closed at 604.85.
