A vendor of Port Mourant, Corentyne is now dead after a fight during a game of chic-chic at Rose Hall Town Public Road last night around 10.15 pm.
Dead is Steven Lewis also known as “Shabba”, 27, of Lot 29 Portuguese Quarter, Corentyne.
Stabroek News was told that the suspect who is from Sir David Rose Street, Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, has since been arrested and is assisting with the investigation.
According to the police, the men who are known to each other were playing a game of chic-chic when an argument ensued which led to a confrontation between the two and then a physical altercation.
Lewis reportedly suffered major injuries to his head and face.
