Youth awaits sentencing for theft of jewellery, UK currency

A construction worker is now awaiting sentencing for stealing over $200,000 in gold jewellery and UK currency.

At the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, Stephon Apple, 20, yesterday admitted to stealing a quantity of gold jewellery and money.

The charge against him stated that on December 14th, at Norton Street, Wortmanville, he stole three gold finger rings, a gold Spanish link band and £200, worth $204,000 combined. The stolen articles were the property of Chetwyn Eastman.
