Guyana’s top badminton players Narayan Ramdhani and Priyanna Ramdhani have qualified for the 2019 Pan Am Games to be held in Lima, Peru, in July-August.
The Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) in a statement informed of the development and explained that the siblings have been putting in the straps to put up a good showing in Lima.
They are set to attend an international training camp. “Both players have been working very hard to keep their game level at a high standard and they both took time off from their studies for two weeks as they were selected by Pan Am Sports to attend the Road to Lima 2019 High-Level Training Camp in Aguascalientes, Mexico, from April 8-23, in preparation for the Pan Am Games,” the statement noted.
This is the second Pan Am Games they will be attending as they qualified and represented Guyana in 2015 in Toronto Canada.
The players will get to train in an international environment, twice a day, with an experienced international coach and players from the Pan Am region and follow-up towards projects in the future in the region.
