The Athletic Association of Guyana (AAG) kicked off its 2020 season yesterday at the National Park with its Cross Country event.
The first local track and field meet since the calendar flipped to 2020 attracted in excess of 50 athletes from the various categories.
However, the day’s standout athletes were Jonathan Fagundes (8km male open), Attoya Harvey (4km female youth), Calvin Williams (6km junior) and Gary Hartog (Masters 8km) who won their respective categories.
The AAG’S calendar of events will continue with the first of three Development Meets at the same venue on Sunday.
