Dear Editor,
I might sound unorthodox as regards political affairs but allow me to articulate my observation from a spiritual perspective as regards the forthcoming general elections. It is important that we keep all our contesting leaders in our prayers. There is so much talk about unity of all Guyanese. This is good yet we see division in the air. It is God who ordained that there will be order in chaos. Let this chaos turn into celebration of life and not aggression. As we know, prayers move mountains, thus, I urge all of us to pray without ceasing that peace may prevail. Let this election be a positive experience for each Guyanese.
May God help our leaders to do an examination of conscience and hear the quiet voice of God in the depth of their being, for God speaks in the silence of the spirit. I will be praying for this grace and I appeal to everyone to pray for God’s intervention during this crucial time.
Yours faithfully,
Jerri Dias
