Essequibo-based, Rising Stars Sports Club recently held their annual Awards Ceremony at RG Mining Enterprise’s head office, Middlesex with Latcham Rohit being named the Club’s Most Valuable Player for 2019.
Rohit a 34-year-old right handed batsman over the season scored 364 runs, the most by any player with a club best of 106. The former national youth player also took 10 wickets with his medium pace.
Vice-President of the Club, Ottis Roberts copped the most wickets with a tally of 15 highlighted by a best of 4-3. West Indies Under-15 batsman, Mavidra Dindyal was named Emerging player of the year while Kayman Lackhan was the best allrounder of the year.
