A Matthews Ridge, North West District man was granted bail yesterday after he was charged with wounding a shopkeeper, who reportedly threw a bottle at him after refusing to repay the money he owed.
Romel David initially pleaded guilty “with explanation” to the charge after it was read by Acting Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court Three.
The charge stated that on November 6th, 2016, at Five Miles, Arakaka, North West District, David unlawfully and maliciously wounded Marcel Carvallo with intent to maim, disfigure, disable or cause grievous bodily harm.
