LUCAS STOCK INDEX
The Lucas Stock Index (LSI) rose 1.89 percent during the second period of trading in January 2020. The stocks of six companies were traded with 198,076 shares changing hands. There was one Climber and one Tumbler. The stocks of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) rose 7.08 percent on the sale of 200 shares while the stocks of Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) fell 1.25 percent on the sale of 7,130 shares. In the meanwhile, the stocks of Banks DIH (DIH), Demerara Tobacco Company (DTC), Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (BTI) and Sterling Products Limited (SPL) remained unchanged on the sale of 190,351; 122; 100 and 173 shares respectively. The LSI closed at 604.67.
