A man who says he uses narcotics to alleviate stress was yesterday remanded to prison while the Acting Chief Magistrate awaits a probation report for sentencing.
Joseph George, 47, was arraigned at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts yesterday when he pleaded guilty to two charges.
It is alleged that on January 17th, at School Street, Seven Mile, Mahdia, he had in his possession 4.3 grammes of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. It was also alleged that on the same date and at the same location, he had in his possession, 2 grammes of cannabis, for the purpose of trafficking.
