At the Annual General Meeting of Enterprise Busta Cricket Club recently, Parmanand Dindyal was re-elected to lead the club for the new term.
In the East Coast Demerara-based club’s main pavilion, members of the club conducted their elections which also saw Hansraj Sookdeo taking up the role of vice-president. Guyana Cricket Board assistant administrator and former national player, Kavita Yadram will now function as secretary along with Vishal Persaud, treasurer and Jai Kishun as assistant secretary/treasurer.
Zaheer Mohamed, Navin Ramkhellawan, Vivian Albert and Rameez Khan are the committee members. All positions were unopposed.
Bishram Samaroo was named captain of the `A’ team and Sookdeo the `B’ team skipper.
During the AGM, life membership was also bestowed on Jai Mohabir, Seemangal Yadram, NK Omar, Karran Ramdhoon, Wazim Habib and Rajendra Chandrika.
According to the secretary, the body will look to boost its revenue by conducting more fund raisers and providing more opportunities for youth development.
Over the years, the club has been one of the leading teams on the East Coast Demerara, producing a number of outstanding players including Shelly and Pradesh Balkishun, Albert, Kamesh and Bhaskar Yadram and Chandrika, who went on to represent the West Indies senior team.
