(CWI)Rain forced the second unofficial practice match between the West Indies Women and Pakistan Women to be cancelled yesterday.
Persistent overnight rains prevented the ground from being dry enough to allow players to safely play on it. The first match saw West Indies Women winning by six wickets with Deandra Dottin and Shemaine Campbelle reminding their opponents of what a fearless duo they can be at the crease. Due to the rain, training was held at an indoor facility in the town of Maroochydore as West Indies Women continue to prepare to battle their rivals for the silverware they brought back to the West Indies in 2016. Subject to no rain today local Australia time, the final unofficial practice vs Pakistan Women will be played before the official ICC period starts.
