Lodge, Christianburg/Wismar and Cummings Lodge secured wins when the Milo Secondary Schools Football Competition continued yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Lodge Secondary edged Ann’s Grove 2-1. Shemroy Myers registered a double in the fourth and 53rd minute. For the loser, Mark Roberts netted in the 37th minute.
Similarly, Christianburg/Wismar squeaked past Golden Grove 2-1. Jermin Mason and Randy Pickering scored in the 16th and 65th minute respectively. For the loser, Calvin Richmond netted in the 46th minute.
In another fixture, Cummings Lodge bested Bishops’ High 4-2. Ronald George bagged a hat-trick in the fifth, 20th and 25th minute while Lindley Bacchus scored in the 34th minute. For the loser, Linford Isles and Antoine Herod scored in the 54th and 60th minute respectively.
Meanwhile, the event will continue on the 22nd at the same venue with a tripleheader. At 12:00hrs, Charlestown will oppose Central High while St. Johns College will engage Uitvlugt at 13:45hrs. In the final match, Annandale Secondary will oppose Christ Church from 15:30hrs
