Caribbean Junior champion, Alesha Jackman will depart shortly to compete in Barbados this weekend at the Ronald Wilson Memorial tournament.
Her participation is part of the Guyana Boxing Association plan to promote and develop its nursery. Jackman is scheduled to fight Canadian Chloe Jenkins when the four-nation tournament punches off on Friday evening. Jackman is undefeated in international bouts and earned gold at the last Caribbean Championships in Trinidad and Tobago.
The 15 year-old resident if East Ruimveldt will be accompanied to Barbados by coach Sebert Blake.
