The Hetmyer Hurricanes and Rutherford Renegades squads have been finalised for Friday’s Golden Republic T20 bash at the National Stadium, Providence.
Hurricanes will be led by Guyana Amazon Warriors’ Shimron Hetmyer and he will have the services of former Warriors, Lendl Simmons. Also in the side are West Indies Under-19 duo, Ashmead Nedd and Kevlon Anderson while experienced campaigners, Christopher Barnwell and Trevon Griffith are also included.
Former West Indies Under-19 players, Raymond Perez and Ronaldo Alimohamed will also turn out for Hurricanes.
The rest of the side is Qumar Torrington, Richie Looknauth, Vishaul Singh, Gudakesh Motie, Nial Smith and Kemol Savory.
Hurricanes will have the technical services of Steven Jacobs, Akshaya Persaud and Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
Sherfane Rutherford will captain the Renegades and he will have at his disposal, Chandrapaul Hemraj and Anthony Bramble. Rayad Emrit is their overseas player along with Barbados Trident, Raymon Reifer. Essequibo youngsters, Quintin Sampson and Joshua Jones have made the cut as well as national players, Tevin Imlach and Kevin Sinclair.
Explosive batsman, Jonathan Foo and national skipper, Leon Johnson also feature in the side as well as Ramaal Lewis, Keon Joseph and Ricardo Adams. Esuan Crandon is the technical director while Albion spin twins, Devendra Bishoo and Veerasammy Permaul will function as Manager and Coach respectively.
The match is a collaboration between the Guyana Cricket Board and the Ministry of Social Cohesion in observance Guyana’s 50th Republic celebration.
The match will begin at 18.00 hours while a softball clash between Regal All-Stars and Speedboat XI will take place at 14.00 hours.
Tickets are available at the board’s Regent road, Board office and set at $2000 while vehicle parking pass is set at $1000.
