Annandale Secondary mauled East Ruimveldt 10-2 when the eighth annual Milo Secondary Schools football competition continued yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
It was a clinical team performance from the East Coast Demerara outfit, as six different scorers found the back of the net in the lopsided clash. Omari Glasgow, fresh from his exploits with the Golden Jaguars U20 in the CONCACAF Championship, led the rout with a hat-trick in the 16th, 41st and 55th minute.
His teammate on the national team during the confederation championships, Jerome Harrigon, also got into the scoring act with a double in the 24th and 62nd minute, while Tyrice Dennis added a brace in the 29th and 58th minute.
Rounding out the scoreline in the seventh, 43rd and 56th minute respectively were Tiquan Taylor, Rickey Deputron and Colin Henriques. For the losers, Ezekiel Waldron and Keion Marques scored in the 18th and 35th minute respectively.
In another fixture, St. Joseph’s High edged South Ruimveldt 2-1. Khalil Gittens and Jaleim Cox found the back of the net in the 36th and 43rd minute respectively. On target in the loss was Godfrey Weekes in the 46th minute.
Meanwhile, Lodge Secondary and Carmel played to a 2-2 stalemate. Lonsdale Amsterdam bagged a double for Carmel in the 42nd and 50th minute while Osafo Jackson and Curt Edwards scored in the 52nd and 65th minute respectively for Lodge.
