The Sonia Noel Foundation, the organization responsible for the planning and Execution of the annual Women in Business event has announced that this year’s event will now be staged on Saturday April 4th and Sunday April 5th, effectively a postponement from the March 21-22 period that had been set. The venue for the event remains the Pegasus Hotel.
Stabroek Business has learnt that this is the second postponement of the event which had, in the first instance, been scheduled to be held during an earlier period in March. “We want to be sure that some of the distractions associated with national events in our country do not take away from the impact which we hope this year’s Women in Business event will have.
That includes affording the women who will be participating in the event to make their preparations. There is also still more work to be done in terms of raising awareness of the event amongst people who we hope will be supportive, Event Coordinator Sonia Noel told the Stabroek Business.
Currently in its fifth year, Women in Business, has been credited by the female entrepreneurs who have been associated with the event, with contributing to their business growth while affording them important opportunities to interface with the wider business community.
