(Trinidad Express) A dispute over land is the suspected motive for the killing of a woman in Gasparillo on Thursday.
Chandramatie Sammy-Rojan was shot and killed on her way to her home at Darnead Street at around 6.55p.m.
Police were told that the woman and her sister were walking along a tracking leading to her home when a man walked up and shot her several times.
The sister was not injured.
The women were returning from the pharmacy where they had gone to purchase items for Sammy’Rojan ten-year-old daughter who was at home with her father.
The killer left by car.
