An Alness, Corentyne, family has been advised by regional health officials to self-quarantine themselves after they returned home on the said flight with the first victim of the coronavirus, who died at the Georgetown Public Hospital last week.
According to information gathered, after the medical professionals were made aware of the family on Monday, they were immediately visited.
Jevaughn Stephens, Director of Regional Health Services, Region Six, confirmed that the family were contacted. He stressed, that the family showed no signs of the virus.
However, they were educated on the virus and also on the importance for them to self-isolate themselves at this time.
The medical professionals will also be checking in with the family every 24 hours, Stephens said.
