The Management of the Guyana/ Suriname Ferry Service wishes to notify the general public that MB Sandaka will be departing Moleson Creek, Corentyne today, Wednesday, 18th March, 2020 at 9:00 am, while check-in commences at 6:30am-8:00am.
A release from the Ministry of Public Infrastructure yesterday said that this service will only be facilitated to Suriname nationals or Surinamese by Naturalization with resident status, that is, he/she must be the holder of a Surinamese passport.
Guyanese desirous of returning home are asked to check-in at South Drain, Suriname between 6:30am-8:00am (Suriname’s local time).
Upon arrival in Guyana, Port Health Officials will be present to screen each passenger, the release said.
Guyanese are asked to make a special effort to take advantage of this opportunity.
