Grove mechanic granted extension to compensate stabbing victim

Feraz Narine

A mechanic who agreed to compensate a man he was charged with stabbing has been given an extension of the time granted for him to make the payment.

Feraz Narine, 36, of 243 Second Street, Grove, East Bank Demerara, failed to complete the payments to Teon Archer as part of a $300,000 compensation arrangement.

At Narine’s previous hearing at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, he had told the court that he would compensate Archer a total sum of $300,000 for the injuries caused. He proceeded to make a down payment of $100,000 on that date and promised to complete payment at his next hearing, which was held on Tuesday.
